Today, Government announced a major shake-up of planning rules to boost housebuilding while protecting the Green Belt, showing our plan to deliver the homes people need is working.
- Conservatives have already delivered 2.5 million more homes since 2010 and we are on track to deliver 1 million additional homes over this Parliament. That is why we have announced new plans to get councils to prioritise brownfield developments and cut bureaucracy, sticking to our long-term plan for housing to deliver the homes people need while protecting our green spaces.
- Labour have no plan to deliver housing while protecting our precious Green Belt – preferring to ‘bulldoze’ our green spaces and ‘ignore’ local communities. You cannot trust Labour on housing.
