The Government is changing the law so that it is easier for those who have been wronged to access secure third party legal funding, supporting victims in their fight for justice.
- We recognise that for many the costs involved in taking legal action can be a barrier to achieving justice. That is why the Justice Secretary is changing the law so that it is easier for people to access secure funding for their legal fights against large corporations, delivering on our plan to make justice easier to access for all.
- Our reforms are guided by sub-postmaster Alan Bates and others impacted by the Horizon scandal, as we recognise that third party funding can be vital in achieving justice, creating a brighter future for those that have been wronged.
