Today, the Conservative Government have announced a record £850 million cash boost to deliver more special needs places, as we stick to the plan to ensure every child receives a high quality education that is right for them so they can fulfil their potential.
- Every child deserves a world-class education that meets their needs. That is why we have announced a record £850 million boost for local councils to help deliver 60,000 new places since 2010, for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and in Alternative Provision (AP) and improve the accessibility of existing buildings, providing more specialist support for children with additional needs.
- We are sticking with the plan to ensure that every child receives the support and education they need to succeed, where hard work is rewarded and aspiration is celebrated.
